Makorn Chaovanich, a veteran designpreneur with over twenty years of experience in industrial design and business concept development, began his illustrious career at Philips Corporation. As the first Thai industrial designer at the company, he introduced over a hundred products to the global market within a span of six years.

After gaining substantial experience in Europe, Makorn returned to Thailand to found Cerebrum Design in 2004. This turnkey business concept design firm offers a full spectrum of services, including business concept development, product development, marketing communications, and supply chain management. His leadership quickly garnered international recognition, earning prestigious awards like the G Mark from Japan and the IF and RedDot Best of the Best awards from Germany for his clients.

In 2005, Makorn was elected President of the Industrial Designer Society of Thailand. Over the next seven years, he dedicated himself to merging academic, industrial, and professional resources to strengthen the Thai economy through design and innovation.

Expanding his entrepreneurial ventures, Makorn founded several innovative companies based in Amsterdam, including Eurobioscience Holding B.V., which focuses on development at the Amsterdam Science Park, and Cannabizta, providing turnkey solutions for the medical cannabis industry. He also leads Iconix Energy Drink BV, Padthai International BV, and X-Field BV, diversifying his portfolio into natural-focused beverages, quick-service restaurants, and premium food and beverage distribution.

As of January 2023, he is a Board Member at the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce, continuing his commitment to innovation and economic growth. Makorn is also keen on expanding his network and developing new design innovations for the global market.
